IDU

The Indian Debating Union has been born out of an unwavering belief in the power and utility of ideas, beliefs and self initiated action being channelled through constructive and meaningful debate - together with a passionate love for our country.

IDU debates take place between six to eight times a year, and are focussed on issues related to a resurgent, twenty-first century India. Whilst these debates may be centred on geopolitics, national security, the civic environment, popular culture or any of a variety of other subjects, they also provide a captivating and memorable evening of entertainment.

IDU debates are broadcast on a number of television, radio and online channels on a monthly basis, and also covered by print media. If you would like to be a member of a live IDU audience, please click here to register for the next debate online.

10% of all ticket proceeds from each debate go to registered charities and NGOs supported by the Little Star Education Fund. This contribution is allocated to the primary or secondary education of talented young children supported by Little Star, or the tertiary and work skills related education of young adults, whose parents or guardians would not otherwise be able to provide for their education.
